If your surname has changed since you were last registered in Saskatchewan, send a clear photocopy of your change of name documentation (e.g. marriage certificate). If you wish to go back to a previous surname (e. g. maiden name), send us a signed and dated letter advising which surname you wish to use.
If you have completed a nursing re-entry/refresher program within the last five years and have not practised 1125 hours as a RN since that date, have the transcript forwarded by the nursing program directly to our office.
It is your responsibility to confirm that your RN Licence has been issued before you begin work. You and your nurse manager or employer may confirm your registration using our Online Verification Service. Practising without a licence is in violation of The Registered Nurses Act, 1988 and you would have no liability coverage through CNPS. We will mail your licence and official receipt to you after the effective date.
RNs are required to participate in the Continuing Competence Program; see our Online Tutorial and documents.
