Nursing Careers in Northern Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan northern health care employers are looking for registered nurses (RNs), registered nurses with additional authorized practice [RN(AAP)s] and nurse practitioners (NPs) who are seeking a new challenge in their careers.

Northern Health Care Employers
Meadow Lake Tribal Council
The Meadow Lake Tribal Council (MLTC) is in the Northwestern part of Saskatchewan and is made up of nine Meadow Lake First Nations (MLFNs), five Cree First Nations and four Dene First Nations, that comprise the tribal council. There are over 6,000 members residing on-reserve and over 5,000 members residing at locations off-reserve. Nursing positions are available in multiple locations in the MLTC area.
Pelican Narrows is a Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation community with a population of approximately 4000 people and there are 9.5 RN(AAP) or NP positions. There is an EMS unit in the community and physician coverage 5 days/week.
Deschambault Lake is a Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation community, with a population of approximately 1400 people and there are 4 RN(AAP) or NP nursing positions. Visiting physicians fly or drive from Prince Albert 2 days/week.
Southend is a Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation community, with a population of approximately 1400 people and there are 4 RN(AAP) or NP positions. Visiting physicians fly from La Ronge 2 days/week.
Athabasca Health Authority
The Athabasca Health Authority is located in northern Saskatchewan and provides health care services to five main communities in the north. The five communities that we service include the 2 First Nations communities of Black Lake and Fond Du Lac, as well as Stony Rapids, Uranium City, and Camsell Portage.
