Announcement of SRNA’s Interim Executive Director
On August 8 the SRNA had the pleasure of formally announcing Jayne Naylen Horbach, RN, BScN, MHS as the Interim Executive Director.
Jayne’s first day in this new role will be Monday, August 27 following the departure of current ED, Carolyn Hoffman on August 24. Under Jayne’s leadership, the SRNA will continue to advance our regulatory and professional association work as guided by our mandate of public protection.
Jayne has contributed a wealth of experience and knowledge since joining the SRNA in May of this year and will continue to bring her commitment to excellence in registered nursing to this position. She is a highly regarded registered nursing professional having worked in education as a faculty member and an adjunct professor, as well as in primary and urgent care services.
The SRNA Council has started the process of recruiting a permanent Executive Director by initiating the formation of the ED Search Committee, which is comprised of seven members, including the past SRNA president and one public representative. In late August the Committee will meet to finalize a request for proposals to be sent to national recruitment agencies.
As the SRNA regretfully bids farewell to Carolyn, we look forward to a seamless transition under the interim leadership of Jayne.
