Through The Registered Nurses Act, Bylaws, Council and organizational policies the SRNA Registration Team ensures new applicants and members meet initial and ongoing requirements, to register and re-license annually to practice as a RN in Saskatchewan.
Becoming a Registered Nurse in Saskatchewan
This section is for new RN and RN(NP) applicants looking to become licensed in Saskatchewan.
The SRNA’s Continuing Competence Program (CCP) is a mandatory, ongoing education program that ensures all RNs and RN(NP)s are continually enhancing their practice through self-directed learning. Every RN and RN(NP) must complete the CCP annually as part of the requirements to hold a licence to practice registered nursing in Saskatchewan.
The SRNA has nine different categories of membership. The majority of membership options follow an application process. There are two categories of membership that are granted by the SRNA Council in recognition of outstanding service.
