The SRNA developed the LeaRN program following requests from SRNA members to have increased educational opportunities available for continuing education and to help them complete their annual Continuing Competence Program. The LeaRN program provides a variety of educational resources RNs can add into their annual learning plans, as well as learning opportunities including events and webinars (live and recorded).

Events & Webinars

SRNA members have access to regular educational opportunities in the form of events, as well as live and recorded webinars.

As the practice of nursing is always evolving, the SRNA is dedicated to ensuring its members are informed and well versed about all changes that could impact their day-to-day practice. As a result, the association provides members with dozens of learning opportunities annually through live events and webinars. The SRNA also provides a comprehensive online archive of recorded webinars so that RNs can view them when it works best.

Learning Modules

Available on-demand, SRNA Learning Modules provide an in-depth approach to important nursing issues and topics and members earn a certificate upon completion.

The SRNA currently offers a Learning Module on RN Specialty Practice. With a shift away from Transfer of Medical Functions and Special Nursing Procedures documents to new processes outlined in the Standards and Competencies for RN Specialty Practice, this learning module helps RNs understand what is different and what is required of them under the new approach to scope of practice regulation.

Book a Workplace Presentation

Workplace Representative Educators are SRNA members who provide workplace presentations on a variety of topics developed by SRNA Nursing Practice Advisors.

SRNA Workplace Representative Educators are RNs who give presentations to their colleagues and assist in the application of SRNA standards, code of ethics, and guidelines in the workplace. Presentation topics include: Continuing Competence Program, RN Scope of Practice, and more. The presentations provide nurses with an opportunity to learn from RNs who have hands on experience in their work environment. RNs can book presentations for their workplace through the SRNA.
